I'm a native New Mexican, born in Roswell and raised in Las Cruces. I hold a B.A. in Journalism and a master’s degree in Information Technology, both from New Mexico State University.
My professional experience working alongside emergency dispatch and law enforcement for the City of Las Cruces, the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Office at the Mesilla Valley Regional Dispatch Authority 9-1-1 center and the New Mexico State University Police Department Dispatch informs the novel’s procedural and cyber elements.
I've always enjoyed writing, and in 2015 took a class: How to Write Your First Novel. Since then, I've been working on what is now my debut fiction crime thriller, No Safe Harbor.
Book Two of The Nuevas Montañas Files is in progress, with an August 2027 release date. The first two chapters are finished — and yours the moment you join the newsletter. You'll get release-week updates, behind-the-scenes notes from the writing process, and the occasional dispatch when something Nuevas Montañas-shaped happens in the real world.
